A leather patch on a rope cap is the club-crest look. Battle Born Clothing has engraved leather patches since 2020 on an OMTech 80-watt CO2 laser and aims to be the top leather patch hat maker in the USA.

## How it is made

1. We convert your vector logo to an engraving file. No digitizing fee.
2. The patch is cut and engraved on the laser in the shape you choose (rectangle, oval, shield, custom).
3. Patches are applied with a proprietary heat process on a two-platen VEVOR hat press, or sewn on request (+$1).
4. You approve a digital proof first.

## Artwork that engraves well

Line art, wordmarks and crests with clear outlines. Gradients and photos do not engrave. Keep text at least 0.1 inch tall. Send vector if you can.

## Questions
**Glued or sewn?** Glued is standard and holds through normal wear. Sewn adds a visible stitch line and $1 per cap; some clubs prefer the look.

**What leather colors are there?** Several natural and dyed leather tones. Ask on the quote form and we will send the current options with the proof.

**Can you do a patch and embroidery on the same cap?** Yes. Patch on the front, embroidered text on the side or back. The side hit is quoted per job.
